Goals:
We provided information for professionals and homeowners on irrigation information. We have and will have various videos on our site that cover many different aspects of irrigation. Many of these videos also provide a tutorial on how to perform repairs or installation of irrigation systems. We also have videos that show some new technologies in the irrigation industry, such as The Rain Bird's new swing joint and many others. We also have a link to a really great site that answers some of the most commonly asked questions by home owners concerning irrigation. We also have a slide show showing some of the various irrigation products. There is also text boxes of news in the irrigation industry such as new products or discoveries. For example a video on mobile desalination is posted that I found very interesting and very promising for areas that have little if any water to irrigate with. We also have some blogs discussing various new technologies such as the eaurora mobile irrigation controller. We are currently working on building a question and answer forum where questions can be asked and answered by our various members. We also have a few RSS feeds which covers some various irrigation systems.
Objectives:
Our site will provide all of these resources through our various video tutorials along with our blog posts and forums. We also feel that using the chat feature would be a great way to communicate among the members who are on at the same time. We felt that by adding specfic groups for landscapers, turfgrass and homeowners will help organize our specfic discussion. The forums will be a great way to communicate with the various members about specfic topics that are of interest.
